Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas is located at the Veterans Resource Center. We provide the first point of contact for Veterans needing to connect to nonprofit, employment, educational, and VA resources, in order to provide paths towards self-sufficiency.
Our Day Center provides homeless and reintegrating veterans with access to showers, laundry, a computer lab and TV lounge.
Veterans in a cycle of poverty and homelessness are often unaware of benefits that are available. Our onsite staff assess on a case-by-case basis to identify and locate assistance.
Veterans need help in navigating paperwork and determining qualifications for federal programs such as HUD-VASH. We help provide direction to locate more permanent housing solutions
In partnership with Dallas Community College, we offer free job skills training for veterans in the high-demand field of welding.
The value of having people who care and show concern and help cannot be calculated. Homeless Veterans Services offers Peer Support and meetings regularly.
Suicide prevention in the veteran community is a priority. In 2018 we instituted the Stop One Suicide Program to provide free suicide prevention education the community.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve the lives of the veterans we serve.
