We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of veterans in need. Our mission is to provide assistance to those who are less fortunate and to create a better world for all. Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to make a positive impact on the world and to help those who need it the most.
Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas is located at the Veterans Resource Center. We provide the first point of contact for Veterans needing to connect to nonprofit, employment, educational, and VA resources, in order to provide paths towards self-sufficiency.
At this time, we are accepting NEW
underwear and t-shirts. Additionally, gently used, LAUNDERED clothing.
Our Day Center provides homeless and reintegrating veterans with access to showers, laundry and a TV lounge.
The employment program has successfully referred veterans with opportunities that have transformed their lives and provided them with successful futures.
Veterans in a cycle of poverty and homelessness are often unaware of benefits that are available.
In partnership with Dallas College, we offer free job skills training for veterans in the high-demand field of welding.
The value of having people who care and show concern and help cannot be calculated. Homeless Veterans Services offers Peer Support and meetings regularly.
Suicide prevention in the veteran community is a priority. In 2018 we instituted the Stop One Suicide Program to provide free suicide prevention education the community.
