In February 2004, Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas, Inc. (HVSD) formed as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and began serving veterans in the DFW Metroplex.  

Mission Statement

Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas, Inc. (HVSD) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless and at risk veterans and their families. The mission of HVSD is to provide assistance in the area of housing and self-sufficiency by way of donations, fund raising and grant efforts for homeless or at-risk veterans and their families.

Over the years, our focus has expanded to meet the ever changing challenges of veterans and their families. 

Through partnership with the VA North Texas Health Care System  we assist in coordinating Homeless Veterans Stand Down events in Dallas and Tarrant County.  

To help meet the growing needs of the veteran community, on September 11, 2011 the Veterans Resource Center of Dallas (VRC) officially opened.  HVSD manages the daily operations of this vital service to the community.
